Are Medicare rebates available for assessments?
No. Unfortunately, Medicare rebates are not available for assessments. All services are provided on a private fee basis.
Is the service entirely online?
Yes, all assessments are conducted online via a secure telehealth platform, making it convenient for clients across Australia.
What if I already have a diagnosis but want a second opinion or updated assessment?
​We can provide updated assessments or second opinions if you already have a diagnosis but would like additional insight or clarity.
What payment options are available?
Payments can be made via credit card or bank transfer. Payment plans may be available upon request.
Are the assessments culturally sensitive?
Yes, we aim to provide culturally inclusive and sensitive services. Please let us know if there are any specific cultural considerations you'd like us to keep in mind during the assessment process.
Can you prescribe medication for ADHD?
No, psychologists are not medical doctors and cannot prescribe medication. If you require medication, you will need to consult a with a psychiatrist.
What does the assessment involve?
A neuroaffirming assessment focuses on understanding your unique strengths and challenges through a compassionate, non-pathologising lens. It includes interviews, standardised questionnaires, and feedback tailored to your needs.
Will I receive a formal diagnosis?
Yes, if appropriate, the assessment process will conclude with a diagnostic report that includes formal conclusions and recommendations.
Can I use the assessment report for workplace or educational accommodations?
Yes, the report can be used to support requests for accommodations at work or in educational settings. However, specific requirements may vary, so it’s a good idea to check with your employer, school, or university.
Do you see children or teenagers?
No, NeuroThrive Psychology provides assessments for adults aged 18 and older.
Do you provide therapy after an assessment?
NeuroThrive Psychology focuses exclusively on assessments. If you are interested in therapy, we can provide referrals to other qualified professionals who specialize in supporting neurodivergent adults.
Can I bring a support person to my assessment appointments?
Yes, you are welcome to bring a support person to your appointments if it makes you feel more comfortable.
